Announcement: September 2024 Chartered Accountants Examinations | Exam Dates & Timings

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is pleased to announce the schedule for the upcoming Chartered Accountants Foundation and Intermediate Examinations, in accordance with Regulation 22 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988. Below are the details for the exams scheduled in September 2024, provided a sufficient number of candidates register at each listed location.

Foundation Course Examination

Dates: 13th, 15th, 18th, and 20th September 2024
Syllabus: As per Regulation 25F of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.

Intermediate Course Examination

Group I: 12th, 14th, and 17th September 2024
Group II: 19th, 21st, and 23rd September 2024
Syllabus: As per Regulation 28F of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.

Important Note:

There will be no examinations on 16th September 2024 (Monday) due to Milad-un-Nabi, a compulsory (gazetted) Central Government holiday.

Examination Timings

• Foundation Paper 1 & 2: 2 PM to 5 PM (3 Hours)
• Foundation Paper 3 & 4: 2 PM to 4 PM (2 Hours)
• Intermediate Papers: 2 PM to 5 PM (3 Hours)

Note: Papers 3 and 4 of the Foundation Examination do not have advance reading time. All other papers include a 15-minute advance reading time from 1:45 PM to 2 PM.

For composite papers with both MCQs and descriptive questions, the MCQs will be distributed at 2 PM with no advance reading time.

Examination Application Forms

Intermediate Exam:

• Start Date: 7th July 2024 (Sunday)
• End Date (without late fees): 20th July 2024 (Saturday)
• End Date (with late fees): 23rd July 2024 (Tuesday)

Foundation Exam:

• Start Date: 28th July 2024 (Sunday)
• End Date (without late fees): 10th August 2024 (Saturday)
• End Date (with late fees): 13th August 2024 (Tuesday)

Correction Window:

• Intermediate: 24th July 2024 (Wednesday) to 26th July 2024 (Friday)
• Foundation: 14th August 2024 (Wednesday) to 16th August 2024 (Friday)

Examination Fees

Intermediate Course Examination

• Indian Centres:
  • Single Group / Unit (All except Unit 2): ₹1500
  • Both Groups / Unit 2: ₹2700
• Overseas Centres (excluding Kathmandu & Bhutan):
  • Single Group / Unit (All except

Unit 2): US$ 325

• Both Groups / Unit 2: US$ 500
• Bhutan & Kathmandu Centres:
  • Single Group / Unit (All except Unit 2): ₹2200
  • Both Groups / Unit 2: ₹3400

Foundation Course Examination

• Indian Centres: ₹1500
• Overseas Centres (excluding Bhutan & Kathmandu Centres): US$ 325
• Bhutan & Kathmandu Centres: ₹2200

Late Fee: An additional ₹600 (for Indian/Bhutan/Kathmandu Centres) or US$ 10 (for Overseas Centres) will be charged for applications submitted after the last date.

Medium of Examination
