ICAI Reschedules CA Inter Exam 2023 in Karnataka Due to Legislative Assembly Election
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the rescheduling of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate course exam for Group I paper – 4 Taxation, which was originally scheduled to be held on May 10, 2023. The decision to reschedule the exam was taken due to the general election to the Legislative Assembly in Karnataka.
The ICAI has released an official notice stating that the CA Inter exam for Group I paper – 4 Taxation scheduled to be held on May 10, 2023, in examination centers at Bagalkot, Belgaum, Bellary, Bengaluru, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Gadag, Hassan, Haveri, Hubli, Kalaburgi, Kolar, Koppal, Mandya, Mangalore, Mysore, Raichur, Shimoga, Sirsi, Tumakuru, Udupi, and Vijayapura has been postponed. The new exam date for the same is May 20, 2023.
The institute has clarified that candidates who have already registered for the exam need not worry, as the exam will be held at the same exam center allotted earlier, from 2 PM to 5 PM on May 20, 2023. The admit card issued earlier will be considered valid.
However, the ICAI has also announced that there will be no change in the schedule of examinations for other cities and exam centers, and the CA Inter exam dates 2023 for the May session will remain unchanged.
The rescheduling of the CA Inter exam in Karnataka is a necessary step taken by the ICAI to ensure that the students do not face any inconvenience due to the ongoing Legislative Assembly election in the state.
