CS Executive New Syllabus ICSI 2023 Exam

CS Executive New Syllabus 2023: The New Syllabus shall consist of seven papers at the Executive Programme. The last examination of the CS Executive Programme under the old syllabus (2017) will be in June 2024. From Dec 2024 all ICSI Executive Programme exams will be based on New Syllabus (2022) only.
The Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India in the exercise of the powers vested under clause (a) of sub-section (2) of Section 15 of the CS Act, 1980 approved the New ICSI Syllabus 2022. for the CS Executive Programmes of the Company Secretaryship Course.
There are 2 Groups made of 7 papers in the new syllabus (Syllabus 2022) for the Executive Programme of the Company Secretaryship Course. There are 4 subjects in the first Group and 3 subjects in the second Group.

CS Executive Subjects under New Syllabus 2023

ICSI Syllabus 2022 ambition is to inculcate principles, laws, and interpretation at the Executive Level. This grouping of Papers under Group-I of the Executive Programme has been done keeping in view the critical aspects of ‘‘Balancing of Theoretical / Legal and Practical Papers’ Ease of Learning and ‘Strengthening of fundamental concepts having relevance in the Papers covered under subsequent Group-II.
The Set of seven papers of the Executive Programme under the new syllabus 2023 are as under:

CS Executive Group-II Papers

Mode of Examination: Combination of both 20% objective type questions and 80% descriptive questions at all papers of the CS Executive Programme except Paper No. 4 Corporate Accounting and Financial Management which is 100% descriptive.

Duration: 3 Hours (Every paper)

Marks: 100 Marks (Every paper)

The Candidates of Company Secretaries Executive New Syllabus 2023 are expected to keep track of and have an intelligent grasp of the latest developments in the relevant areas that have taken place up to six months preceding the date of examination.

Pre-Examination Requirement: Students registered under the Executive program based on ICSI Syllabus 2023 shall have to complete a Pre-Examination Test to be eligible to enrol and appear in the CS Executive Examinations.

Effective Date of ICSI Syllabus 2022 for Executive Programme:

•  Registration starts from under ICSI Syllabus 2022: February 01, 2023
• First Examination-based ICSI Syllabus 2022: December 2023.

Last attempt for appearing under ICSI Syllabus 2017:

• CS Executive’s last exam under the old syllabus 2017 to be held in June 2024.

Scheme of Paper-wise Exemption

Old Syllabus (2017) to New Syllabus (2022): The scheme of paper exemption to switch over from the old syllabus i.e. 2017 to the New Syllabus i.e. 2022 syllabus is placed below:

CS Executive New Syllabus 2023 is applicable from Feb 2023. ICSI has approved New Syllabus for the year 2022. The admission for the old course of the executive program has been discontinued from February 2023. Therefore, you have to take CS Executive Registration in the new syllabus only.
