CA IPCC ( Inter)

CA Intermediate is second level exam in the Chartered Accountancy Course In India.

Eligibility

The students after clearing the CA Foundation or Common Proficiency Test becomes eligible to register for the CA Intermediate.

Direct Entry Route the Graduates, postgraduates and the students having equivalent degrees can register directly for the CA Intermediate without appearing at the entrance level.

1.    Students who are Graduate/ Post Graduate in Commerce and secured a minimum of 55% can register directly for Intermediate without passing CA Foundation or CPT.

2.    Non commerce Graduates/ Post Graduates can also register for Intermediate by securing 60% marks in Graduation/ Post Graduation.

(Registration to Intermediate Course and undergo ICITSS training of four week. listed for practical training of three years  after completing ICITSS and appear in the Intermediate Examination after completion of nine months of practical training.)

3.    Apart from the above, the students who cleared the Intermediate level of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

Test model

It is a complete subjective paper pattern divided among eight subjects and two groups consisting 800 marks. ( Each subject have 100 marks )  Subjects are given as follows -

Group –II

1. Accounting

2. Corporate and other Laws

3. Cost and Management Accounting

4. Taxation

1. Advance Accounting

2. Auditing and Assurance

3. Enterprise Information System and Strategic Management

4. Financial Management & Economics for Finance

 Students are required to obtain 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in aggregate of all the subjects. A student can appear in either one group or both the groups at a time.

Important Date

 Exam for the CA Intermediate are held twice in a year i.e. May and November.

 (Register For CA – Inter : 9 Months before Exam)

Registration last dates: -                     1st March (Appearing in November, Same Year) 

                                                            1st September (Appearing in May, Next Year)

Result date

Result for the CA Intermediate declares in the month of August and February i.e. two and half months after the exam.

Exemption

The subject in whom a student scores 60% or more marks will get exempt for the next three attempts.

Commencement of articleship

A student after clearing either one group or both the groups can commence article ship training for three years under a practicing Chartered Accountant.
